While most bears are still sound asleep MentorUP Calgary is awaking from a short hibernation. We will be kickstarting our activities with a networking and mentoring evening at the cozy Phill & Sebastian café in the East Village. You will meet like-minded job-seekers and mentors/volunteers with MentorUP who have experience with the job-market in Calgary.
The topic of the night will be how you can prepare yourself for the job-opportunities that will arise when the oil-price (as wise people expect) goes back up again. The discussion will be lead by Gail Powley, who will draw on her extensive experience in Alberta industry and from numerous volunteer positions.
Highlights of Gail Powley’s experiences:
– President Technology Alberta
– Past President Canadian Heavy Oil Assn
– Co-founder MentorUP Alberta
– Past VP Willowglen Systems
– Chemical Engineer
– Recognised as mentor of the Milineium
This is your chance to re-fresh your perspective and beat the sleeping bears to the jobs!
The event is free, but we encourage attendees to support the business of our host venue.
